UCSD Pepper Canyon West Housing

UCSD’s Pepper Canyon West Student Housing is a 580,000-square-foot student residential complex consisting of two C-shaped buildings with prominent towers capable of accommodating 1,300 beds.

The development spans six acres in the center of campus, and features a unique courtyard for each building, elevated student amenity spaces, and retail spaces that will serve both the tenants and broader communities who use the adjacent light rail station, all this purposefully designed to create an active, vibrant urban atmosphere.

SDIA Terminal 1

With a price tag of nearly $2.7 billion, construction of a new Terminal 1 at San Diego International Airport is by far the biggest ongoing construction project in San Diego County.

The new terminal, expected to take until 2028 to finish, will transform the traveling experience at SAN – offering redesigned roadways leading in and out of the airport and more gates for planes to a new parking garage, and far more food and beverage concessions.

Built in a joint venture by Turner Construction and Flatiron Construction, the first phase of the project that includes 19 new gates, an on-airport roadway and concession spaces for shopping and food and beverage outlets is expected to finish in late summer 2025.

Las Vegas GP Formula 1 East Paddock

The four-story, 300,000-square-foot building is the length of three football fields and has a massive F1 LED logo on the roof that is visible from airplanes, among other bold features to fit the larger-than-life vibe of Vegas. The building was a huge part of the $600M that Liberty spent setting up the inaugural F1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The long rectangular shape accommodates spacious new garages on the ground level for F1’s 10 teams. Liberty and F1 used their knowledge of paddock buildings around the world to pick the best ideas and apply them in Vegas.

The venue sits on Koval Lane near the Strip, not far from many of the most famous attractions in the city including the new Sphere. It sits on 39 acres, and the surrounding land on the grounds is set to be referred to as Grand Prix Plaza.

MSG Sphere at Las Vegas

Sphere (also called Sphere at the Venetian Resort) is a music and entertainment arena in Paradise, Nevada, United States, east of the Las Vegas Strip. Designed by Populous, the project was announced by the Madison Square Garden Company in 2018, known then as the MSG Sphere. The 18,600-seat auditorium is being marketed for its immersive video and audio capabilities, which include a 16K resolution wraparound interior LED screen, speakers with beamforming and wave field synthesis technologies, and 4D physical effects. The venue’s exterior also features 580,000 sq ft (54,000 m2) of LED displays. Sphere measures 366 feet (112 m) high and 516 feet (157 m) wide. The arena cost $2.3 billion, making it by far the most expensive entertainment venue built in Las Vegas.
